While not in Oakwood Cemetary, but only a couple of blocks away from the east end of the Cemetary, inside a chain link fence sits the stone shell (without a roof, windows, or interior) of St. Agnes Hospital, a supposed "Raleigh Historic Monument - 1909" (according to the plaque on its front door). It's apparently a part of the campus of St. Augustine's college, a historic black college, and the hospital is most famous as the place where the famous prize fighter Jack Johnson died, having been brought there from a car accident north of Raleigh.
